Formality:

Make sure you meet these few criteria:

• passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned return, and with 3 blank pages (2 of which are face to face).
• Visa: e-Tourist visa (stays up to 90 days; multiple entries possible) You must apply for a visa on the website indianvisaonline.gov.in/. You have from 90 days to 5 days before departure to apply online.
• Don't forget to have an international driving license for your motorcycle trips in India.

Access:

You can reach Karnataka by plane. Bangalore airport in India is a fairly important airport.

Preferred periods:

• From November to March: this is certainly the most pleasant period if you are looking for sunshine.
• From the end of April to the beginning of June: temperatures can rise from 30 to 40 °C, it is then very hot during the day and at night.
• From June to September: the monsoon comes, so it rains a lot! It is still rare that it rains a whole day continuously but this monsoon period is still to be avoided.

• Aihole: temples Châlukya, Badami ;
• Belur: temple of Chennakeshava ;
• Bîjâpur: Gol Gumbaz ;
• Halebid: temple of Hoysaleśvara ;
• Shravanabelagola: famous for the statue of Gomateshvara, 17 meters high. It is considered the largest monolithic statue in the world.

But also 50 km from Hassan an important center of pilgrimage of Jainism, Hampi (Vijayanagar) and Hospet, Mysore. 

Special features:

In Karnataka are the Jog Falls, the highest waterfalls in India.

Bangalore is a world apart, between western and Indian, the Mecca of Indian computing.

The traces of the history of the region are magnificent.

The official language of Karnataka is Kannada.
